On Sunday 19th of December last year branch members and guests gathered at the Park Hotal in Diss for another, well attended, Branch Xmas Lunch event.
The food was once again a carvery style meal and was as good as always.
As per previous years there was an inter-table quiz with RAF theme and general knowledge rounds as well as an aircraft recognition segment, this years resulting in a draw necessitating a hasty allocation of a second set of prizes.
Once again Suzanne narrated a left and right story pass the parcel game to the amusement of all and the confusion of many.
The President, Richard Youngs made two presentations on the day. The first to our Branch Standard Bearer Mr Rodney Furness, as Branch Member of the year, recognising the work he has continued to do, representing the Branch at various occasions throughout the past year, despite the extra restrictions in place due to COVID.
The next was the presentation of Life membership to RAFA, paid for by the Branch, to another of our World War II veteran members Mr Alan Johnstone.
The afternoon was rounded off in style with another of Marilyn's raffles, including this year some wrapped mystery prizes.
All in all another great, fun, well attended Christmas lunch to round out a difficult year.
